Important Guidelines

Manuscript Submission Guidelines:
“Maarif-e Auliya Research Journal” is providing a platform for authors, researchers, and academicians to publish original research articles. Maarif-e Auliya Research Journal is a Bi-annual Research Journal, peer-reviewed, double-blind research journal. All manuscripts will be welcomed here.

Manuscript Submission:
A soft copy of the article should be submitted through our Open Journal Systems (OJS) of Maarif-e Auliya Research Journal via registered www.maarifeauliya.com.pk. Ensure the anonymity of the author(s) while uploading the articles by excluding the names, titles, and institutions of the authors in the soft copy. Alternatively, add all the details in the metadata. Furthermore, the Turnitin Similarity Report should be uploaded to OJS. Manuscripts will be considered for publication only if they have not been published previously and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Articles that are submitted to the Maarif-e Auliya Research Journal are subject to evaluation by independent national and international referees who are experts in their applicable field. The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is with the Maarif-e Auliya Research Journal Chief Editor. The Chief Editor, bases his decision primarily on the recommendations of the referees who have evaluated the paper. However, the Editor-in-Chief can also include the Editor.

Format Requirements:

General Requirements:

Unsolicited articles must be written in English, Urdu, or Arabic. Type the manuscript in MS Word, A4 size.

Use the following fonts while writing the article:

English Articles: Times New Roman, Font Size: 12 for Normal and 14 Bold for Headings.

Urdu Articles: ​Jameel Noori Nastaleeq.

Arabic Articles: ​Traditional Arabic

For both Arabic & Urdu Articles Font Size must be 12 for Normal and 14 Bold for Headings.

An article must include the following sections and, in the order, given below:
Abstract, Introduction, Literature Review, Research Questions/Objective, Research Methodology, Conclusions/ Results, and Recommendation(s) (if any).

Type the page numbers consecutively, beginning with the title page, in the lower center corner of each page in English, Urdu, and Arabic.

Write down References in the form of endnotes.
Abstract:
Provide on a separate page an abstract of 200 to 250 words followed by the keywords for the respective article.
Keywords:
Include the keywords relating to the article subject at the end of the abstract.
Introduction:
State the purpose of the article and summarize the rationale for the study.
Literature Review:
Include an appropriate literature review relating to the article's subject.
Basic Research Questions/Objectives:
Include research questions/objectives relating to the article's subject.
Research Methodology:
Include the research methodology chosen by the author(s).
Discussions:
Emphasize the new and significant aspects of the study and the conclusions that follow from them. Link the conclusions with the goals of the study, but avoid unprofessional statements.
Results:
Present your results in a coherent sequence in the text.
References:
Text and references must follow the format outlined in the Chicago Manual of Style, like:

Al-Bukhārī, Al-Jāmiʻal-Sahīh, Kitāb al-Itsām in Kitāb and Sunnah, chapter Qwūl al-Nabī, Ba’ath in Jama’a al-Kalām, vol. 6, p.2654, number of hadiths 6845

All footnotes citing books must contain the complete title, name of the author(s), place of publication, publishing company, and date. All foreign words must be underlined and transliterated where required.

Maarif-e Auliya Research Journal, Auqaf & Religious Affairs Department Punjab reserves the right to edit/change the transliteration of all historical names, titles, and non-English terminology to bring consistency to its style.

Language Editing:
It is the basic responsibility of authors to ensure that their research papers should be free from spelling, typing, grammar, and syntax errors. Authors whose native language is not English/Arabic/Urdu must get their research paper edited by an English/Arabic/Urdu language expert.
