The book is condidered a fundamental book of Sufism. It highlights key Sufi concepts such as love, self-annihilation (fana fi Allah), knowledge (ma'rifah), and unity with the Divine (ittihad bil-haqq), all conveyed in a simple and accessible manner. These profound teachings not only influenced spiritual practices but also left an eternal impact on Urdu literature, enriching its poetic, narrative and symbolic traditions.
