Abstract

Hazrat Syed Ali Hujveri's Kashf ul Mahjoob is a foundational work in the field of Islamic mystical literature, renowned for its systematic analysis of Sufi thought and practice. This research explores the spiritual journey described in the text, highlighting Hujveri's emphasis on inner cleansing, divine love, and knowledge of God (ma‘rifah) as integrated aspects of an overarching path to spiritual illumination. The article explores how the metaphysical views and mystical ethical norms explicated centuries ago retain relevance for modern-day spiritual seekers, offering solace and guidance in today's search for peace of mind and transcendence. Through the use of Urdu quotations of the original text, this paper provides thematic critique of the book's chapters while tracing its long-lasting impact on Islamic spiritual thought, especially in South Asian Sufi traditions.
