The rising trends of suicide in Pakistan have emerged as a significant public health concern, highlighting various social, economic, and psychological factors. This study examines the underlying causes contributing to the increasing suicide rates, such as poverty, unemployment, mental health issues, social stigma, and lack of awareness about mental health care. The cultural context of Pakistan, where discussions about mental health and emotional struggles are often stigmatized, further exacerbates the issue. This paper also explores preventive measures rooted in Islamic teachings and spiritual perspectives. Islam emphasizes the sanctity of life and provides
comprehensive guidelines for mental well-being, promoting community support, empathy, and compassion. Spiritual teachings encourage individuals to seek solace in faith, fostering resilience against life's challenges. By integrating contemporary mental health strategies with Islamic principles, this research proposes a holistic approach to suicide prevention, advocating for community engagement, educational programs, and accessible mental health resources. The role of religious leaders and community organizations in disseminating awareness and providing support is emphasized, aiming to create a supportive environment that fosters mental health and emotional well-being. This study seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of suicide trends in Pakistan and to formulate actionable strategies for prevention in alignment with Islamic and spiritual teachings.
