Abstract

Islam and west, and their relationship, is considered from the very beginning of Islam. First of all, we should come to know the term of "Islam" and west. Islam is a religion and its mean is peace and prosperity for all mankind. While "West" word denotes the boundaries and limited area although majority belongs to Christianity and Judaism. When we study Islamic History, we come to know Islam called for "Interfaith Dialogue: from the very beginning Hazrat Muhammad (upon whom be Allah's peace and greeting) sent letters to all non-Muslim kings and sent messages for interfaith dialogue. Islam is a complete code of life which gives guidance for social, Individual, economic, political and religious life. While west believes that social and political life is different and religious life is different thing. West believes all societies should Bann religion in their private political, social and economic matters and only follow their rules and terms The Islamic world wish to live at peace with the west as well as the east but at the same time not to be dominated by them. It seek to create better understanding with the west and to be better understanding by the west. Both Islam and west should have open arms for each other. They should not impose their rules on others but live the other one for its own rules and customs. Peace, freedom and prosperity should be for everyone.
